Have you heard? Microsoft Virtual Academy (MVA) offers FREE learning from highly qualified instructors across a wide array of knowledge areas with a new feature. Read on to find out about learning paths on Microsoft Virtual Academy.
I have been using MVA for quite a long time. Actually, I have an MVA Founders Club badge with 6732 legacy points, I am not even sure if that is a high amount, but I have also completed over 60 courses. It has been a really incredible resource for me and I didn’t have to invest anything but my own time.
But enough about what I have done, this post is about a new feature on MVA that is really exciting.
Learning Paths
They have learning pathsfor developers and IT pros. The really great thing about this is some are as short as 3 hours and as long as 21 hours. I have used learning paths for a couple of technology learning websites and I’ll be honest, some of their paths are 40, 60 or 80 hours. Which ridiculous considering a bachelor’s degree is technically 124 to 128 hours.
I mean, learning technology should be done by doing. You can watch all the videos you want but there is no replacement for doing the actual work, including following along in a lab or building things and breaking them. It’s just that simple.
Anyway, below is a screenshot of a learning path I will be jumping right into:
I hope to see more of this awesome work going into MVA and am looking forward to learning some new skills.
Happy learning.
